Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the MedScan IQ app ("the app") and this website. MedScan IQ is published by K.N KURDISH ("we", "us").
In short: there is no account, no advertising and no tracking. Your health profile, history and favourites are stored on your device. When you ask the app a question, the text or photo you submit is sent securely to an external analysis service so an answer can be written, and is not used to identify you.
Information stored on your device
- Your optional health profile: age, weight, height, sex, blood type, conditions, allergies and current medicines.
- Search history, favourites, chat history, medicine reminders and saved answers.
- Settings such as your language and whether the Face ID lock is on.
This information stays on your device. We do not have a server that receives or stores it. Deleting the app deletes it.
Information sent to produce an answer
To answer a request, the app sends only what that request needs to an external analysis service (a third-party processor) over an encrypted connection:
- The medicine name, question, lab values or chat message you type.
- A photo you choose to analyse: a medicine box, prescription, food or skin photo.
- A short voice recording, when you use Kurdish voice input.
- Your health profile, only if you filled it in and agreed, so the answer can take allergies and current medicines into account.
The app asks for your consent before anything is sent. Your name is never sent. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks with Apple whether a subscription is active.
Permissions
- Camera and photos: only when you choose to scan or pick an image.
- Microphone and speech recognition: only when you use voice input.
- Face ID or Touch ID: only to lock the app. Biometric data never leaves Apple's secure hardware.
- Notifications: only for medicine reminders you create.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. It remembers your chosen language in your browser's local storage. Like any web host, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
Children
The app is rated 18+ and is not intended for children.
Your rights
Because your information is stored on your device, you control it directly: you can edit or clear your profile and history inside the app, or delete the app. If you live in the UK or EU you have rights under data protection law, including the right to ask what information is held about you and to complain to a regulator such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
